Right now is the perfect time to think about what you want to achieve and who you want to become next year.
2018 is almost done and dusted and we have a brand new year of possibilities in front of us, a blank canvas of infinite potential.
But today I want to talk to you about your values.
Do you have some? Are they aligned? Do you have them written down? This is critical to successfully move forward into 2019.
I would love you to give some time to thinking about who you are and really what you stand for in life. This will help you make the smart choices over Christmas and into the New Year. What are your not negotiable habits? It is time to get clear. With massive clarity comes massive results.
The end of December is the very best time to do this. When we get clear on who we are, what we want, what we believe in and will not compromise, it makes it super easy to say no to the wrong things.
Remember what I always say; "what would my highest and best self do here in this situation"? Create that avatar for yourself as a compass bearing to aim at.
The problem is that most people do not have a set of firm values, so it is impossible for them to be aligned to anything. They just go with the flow of life getting pulled around by their mates doing what other people want. It is time for you to do what you want.
In 2019 I don't want you to go with the flow - I want you to design your life. Going with the flow gets us nowhere. We must be the CEO of our own life, not the janitor.
This can be your time to shine, right now. Leave the past behind and step forward using the tools and methods I coach daily here in the tribe.
Be strong, be proud, be courageous in the direction of your goals and values. The right people will come with you. Trust me! And sometimes, you need to get the broom out and leave some people behind, just like a snake sheds its skin a bunch of times, we need to do that too with the people, places and things that are not aligned to where we want to go as our highest and best.
Be present, practice gratitude, look for the lessons in the mess, and focus on the process, not the outcome. A process focus creates results and a results focus creates self sabotage and overwhelm. This is of course why we weigh ourselves monthly not weekly in TJM.
I hope you are having a terrific day
I believe in you
