Happy Monday. Wherever you are and whatever you're doing make sure you take mini breaks during your day.
Everyone's busy, but are they effective?? I find 20 min breaks during the day in between clients and coaching crucial to get me present, calm, still, and the best recharge is always time with these 2. And the ponies of course.
So true. This is absolutely how it worked for me
Golf is such a metaphor for life.
That's why I love it. Spend 10% of your time thinking about the goal, outcome, result and 90% present in the process.
Identify the problem (opportunity), create a plan to fix (capitalise), and live in that process. I love my golf more than ever because I see it as the best #mindset training.
Be present in the process to prevent overwhelm. If you focus on the result, achievement, you'll always choke in the clutch moments.
Trust and love the process in golf and in life and results will become an automatic, effortless byproduct.
P.s. I know my swings not perfect.
But it's always about personal progress. Be kind.
G'day,
Who’s the one person who’s going to do more to transform your life than anyone else?
It isn’t me. I can give you the tools and techniques. I can poke and prod at you to push you in the right direction.
But I can’t do it for you.
It’s you who has the biggest influence on your own life. It’s the choices you make and the way that you react to your failures that’s most important.
It’s simple.
Own your bull****.
Every single person out there has made mistakes in life. And it’s so easy to point the finger and blame someone else.
"If so and so didn’t do this, then such and such would never have happened."
It’s easy to point the finger and it’s hard to own up to the mistakes that we’ve made.
If you don’t own your bull**** you can’t start your transformation. It’s impossible because you’re building the transformation from a false foundation.
Owning your bull**** doesn’t feel...
G'day
Just thought I would ping you a quick email and let you know about some minor changes to improve the level of coaching and service moving forward from me to you.
I want to ensure I am at my very best to serve you each LIVE session I deliver - that must be my #1 priority and focus. YOU !!
As such, I am going to be spending less time on social media and turn off my FB messenger service. FB can be awesome but it can also take up huge amounts of time and headspace. I want to allocate more time planning and researching my sessions for you.
To get in contact with me regarding my one on one mentoring please email [email protected] I will not see your messages if you send them to me in FB messenger.
(I will reply to your email within 2 working days).
If you are interested in one on one, we will schedule a 10 minute call and chat to see if I can be of assistance and it is a good fit.
For anything to do with day to day TJM, admin, or the group please email Louise Black...
Let me share a little something with you that comes directly from TJM member Aileen.
She posted the following in the group the other day:
"The moment you realise it's not about avoiding suffering, it's about making something from your suffering, you’re incredibly freed. Everything I'm proud of comes from some of the darkest things in my life."
That last bit hit me like a sledgehammer.
It may be one of the most profound things that I’ve ever heard. And it absolutely applies to me. I’m here and helping people right now because I’ve been through some dark times.
Everything that I’m proud of today is a direct result of overcoming those dark times. I’m able to coach people because I’ve been through the worst of it first-hand.
It’s the person that you become after the struggle that’s most important.
You can’t avoid pain and suffering in your life. No matter how charmed a life that you lead, there will always be a tragedy waiting...
G’day ,
I talked to a few TJM mentors the other night. And I’ll be honest…they got at me a little bit. And rightly so. I’ve been a little bit soft with people recently and I’m maybe not cracking the whip as much as I should be.
You’re not paying me for my pleasantries. You’re paying me to get results.
So, this email’s going to sting a little bit.
If you’re looking to lose weight, there are some things that are non-negotiable.
There are things that you absolutely have to do as part of TJM.
Let’s look at snacking for one of them.
If you want to lose weight, it’s about eating protein, vegetables, and salad, with snacks in between.
If you’re still hungry, have an extra protein snack.
That’s a much better way of doing it than putting extra carbs into your body. If you need another snack, make it a protein snack.
You’re going to get a good dose of carbs at breakfast. But if you start putting them in at...
G’day ,
I'm pretty open about the fact that I used to be an alcoholic. That was my big addiction. I wasn't medicating my pain with food or drugs.
It was all about alcohol.
As of December 2018, I'm two years sober.
I haven't touched a drop in all of that time and I don't miss it even a little bit.
And there's something that I've learned during that time. This is something that I saw during the early days when I stopped drinking.
Society's a little bit broken.
When I gave up the drink, I immediately got blowback from some of my "friends".
"You can have one!"
"You're boring if you're not drinking!"
The early days were the toughest because there were so many voices around me telling me to give in. Have that drink.
What harm could it do?
I'm an addict, so it would have caused a ton of harm.
That's when I realised that society's broken when it comes to alcohol. I did the research and found out that the majority of domestic violence issues come as a result of alcohol.
But...
