If you don’t change now, where will you be in five years’ time?
Where will you be in 12 months?
Let me tell you.
You’re going to be right where you are right now.
You’ve got to keep growing and changing to get to where you want to be. It’s all about mindset. Look at things differently. Change the lens and use that new perspective to figure out what you’ve got to do differently.
But I know it’s hard. That’s why I’m going to give you a little tool to help you along.
It’s simple – attach pain to the problem.
That’s the absolute key to my method. People who’ve been in my TJM tribe for a while already know this.
Ask yourself what the biggest problem is in your life. Maybe it’s booze, or drugs, or food. There’s something in your life that’s a problem for you and you want to fix it.
Figure out what it is and attach pain to it.
How you look at the world has a huge impact on your mindset. If you’re all doom and gloom all of the time, you’re going to struggle to be who you want to be. You’re certainly not going to lose weight. Your head isn’t right and you’re not going to stick with it.
Getting a little perspective can help.
Let me tell you a quick story.
A couple of weeks ago, I was in the gym getting ready to do my thing. But my foot just wouldn’t stop bothering me. It felt sore all of the time and I was about ready to pack it in and go home.
Woe is me and my foot, right?
Then I spy this absolute legend in the gym who’s got an amputated leg. He wasn’t complaining. This bloke was just getting on with it and pushing himself.
There I was sulking about a sore foot and this bloke’s doing more than me on one leg!
Boom! It hit me like a sledgehammer.
It’s all about perspective.
